Based on this last year of Peter's career as a full-time teacher for 35 years in one school, Our Lady of Fatima, an exemplary care-providing hub embracing 700+ children within its multi-cultural, blue-collar neighborhood.
If you consider the average size of the school’s population of children, plus the length of Peter’s career, well, you do the Math – the number of children Mr. Knowles touched is a cast of thousands.
And that goes for all the dedicated colleagues with whom he shared team-work.
Bottom-line it and you can call what goes on in such a school as “One, Big Act of Love”.
His retirement bash was last night, May 25 2006. His send-off was an old-fashioned "Love-Fest", with the size and sanctity of the wedding we shared 23 years ago. He's simply changing vocational venues, as we see it - after a well-earned hammock-hiatus in the backyard.
