The content of this first clip of the playlist is comprised of archival images, scanned and storybooked into a presentation for the retirement party organized for my husband, Peter just this May 25 2006, after teaching elementary grades for 35 years in one school.
Peter chose a modest collection of images about himself for the retirement presentation, but I got to embellish my own version. The beginning images of the school were important because they documented what the school looked like a couple of years ago before it was condemned, demolished and replaced with a new complex on the same property.
Most schools still look like the old "Fatima School" but what most people don't know is that when this school was demolished the grounds had to be "quarantined" and "yellow police-taped" to keep the vermin, black mold and toxic building materials, like asbestos, from poisoning the neighborhood.
